Nice new shoes - little too slim on the bottom for my taste, but looks plenty wide. I hope to not end up on the same find-the-right-shoe chase you have endured ;-) (not that trying all kinds of shoes is such a bad thing...)
What do you think of the 110s? I usually wear a 10.5, but they only had an 11, so I bought them. But wearing them around the house has convinced me that I should return them and wait for a 10.5. So far, I'm not thrilled. Conceptually I like the lower drop better, but I fear the curved last is too much for me, plus the toebox seems really shallow and the band across the ball of the foot seems unnecessarily tight. Toebox is roomy, but just behind that is not. Just my first impression. Perhaps I'll like the correct size better.
Jay - I like them so far. I got the same length as I usually buy, which has a bit of room at the end. When I stand up, there's about 1/2 inch between my big toe and the longest part of the shoe. It's perfect, even downhill. My pinkie toe pushes lightly on the side but the upper is soft so it's fine.
I agree the D was too narrow and I was worried about the zig-zag stitching on the inside, so I got the 2E width instead. Perfect, no hots spots anywhere. It's like they're custom-made for me.
PS - I always have a terrible time choosing size, so I ordered a couple sizes and tried them on at home. This time it was from Running Warehouse -- free shipping and returns, they even include the return UPS label.
Cool. Glad you like them. I'll have to see how the right size does for me. In the meantime I see that 101s are on sale for $60. I'm going to get another pair of those and wait until the 110s are easier to get locally.
