Saturday Chatfield Res Steam Bath Run

While the sis and family visited Elitch (not my cup of tea, I'd rather run around in the woods yakking to wild animals, than wade through the mass of humanity and try to make myself nauseous), I ran some errands and went for a run. We were probably going to meet up later for dinner anyway.

It was a nice run, but man, it was hot as a sauna. It's definitely more humid in river basins, and the trees only help so much. I tried to just keep going like it wasn't hot and tiring and full of bugs.

Breezes off the lake helped somewhat.

When I got home, the kids were hanging out on the railing:

Distance was 7.55 miles, time 1:26 (moving 1:17), elevation gain/loss 42 feet, avg. pace 11:26 (moving 10:18), and best pace 7:25.
