This is a run I did after driving back from Aspen. The weather was phenomenal, trails were nearly dry, so it was a must. The pace was relaxed as usual.
Note the light-colored band n the middle of this slope. The slope is the Bear Creek Lake dam, and the light band is tree trunks and other flotsam from the fall 2013 floods. This is the high point of the flood waters, and looking at this picture I didn't realize how high up the dam it got. Yikes:
Distance was 8.11 miles, time 1:51 (moving 1:41), elevation gain/loss 642 feet, avg. pace 13:43 (moving 12:32), and best pace 8:11.
